Description: Sublime Voices: thirty white costumes from different times, fascinating makeup, wigs, masks, feathers and unearthly projections. A choir of thirty professional singers performed the third act of Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi with lyrics by Temistocle Solera, inspired by Super flumina Babylonis, psalm 137.
The spotlights illuminate the dancers only, and by the side of the stage a man hammers a furious rhythm on an iron sheet. The guitar player’s face is half visible and gypsy song adds to the elegant movements and figures of the dancers. Giant fire and earth projections light up the stage while the music and choreography reach an intense and emotional crescendo.
